when this…”movement” first started, it had so much promise. this planet desperately needs a resurgence of the divine feminine because our current world and society is under assault by toxic lower masculine energy (which explains why this world and our society is currently in the shape that it’s in). so when women began to pop up on social media discussing femininity and divine femininity, i got excited.
but that quickly fizzled out. because like most movements, it got hijacked by people that don’t know what the fuck they’re talking about, folks trying to make a quick buck, people that had hidden agendas and by folks that don’t know what the fuck they’re talking about.
most of these women are selling a version of femininity that fits what they think a feminine woman is. and you know who they think is the epitome of a feminine woman? a western, upperclass white woman.
that’s what most of them are teaching. how to be a western, upperclass white woman.
and if that’s the look or mold that you’re going for, that’s fine. but that’s not what femininity is.
femininity is not ruffle skirts, or long flowing dresses or liking the color pink. don’t get me wrong, i love ruffle skirts, long flowing dresses and rose gold is my favorite color. but that’s not femininity.
the divine feminine was here before western civilization rose and it will be here long after western civilization has fallen.
femininity is more than just pink. it is black. femininity is more than just love and light. it is darkness and destruction. it’s eve. and also lilith. it’s aphrodite. and kali. it’s fluffy kittens and also the women that run with wolves. it’s the princess and the warrior queen. it is the creatress. and also the destroyer.
it is the quintessential “i brought you in and i will take you out.”
but what most of these women are teaching is how to be a trophy wife. how to social climb. how to become a sugar baby. how to recreate a “1950s household”, how to become a housewife. how to become an under the radar escort. how to look like a stereotypical version of western society’s ideal version of femininity (which really just serves the patriarchy but i digress).
and there’s nothing wrong with teaching any of that (except for the last one). i honestly think that women NEED to learn why you should mainly (or only) have relationships with men that can provide, how you can level up your look, etc.
but that’s not femininity. to put it bluntly what most of these women are teaching is how to be a heaux and they’re not even doing a good job of teaching that.
Instead of shaming myself into productivity and discpline, I‘ve decided to love myself into it. The reasoning for me doing things will from now on always be: „I love myself and I deserve to reap the rewards of this action (and I love myself too much to deal with the disappointment that comes with not keeping my own promises.)
